Dadcars had the most optimistic outlook on this - that it could all be trolling and that at the unveiling all the vacuous models will prance around then exit stage left and Idris Elba will jump out the car, rip the jaguar logo off and replace it with the old one.

We can but hope

If they'd renamed the company shAGUAr it would have at least been amusing.

cool shape, but why does an EV need a massive bonnet and a small cabin? It’s not exactly forward looking.

I’m no Newey but that doesn’t look particularly aerodynamic. Wonder what is under the stupidly long bonnet.

Eesh, looks like someone picked up their 14 year old nephews sketches by mistake in the rush to go on a six month sabbatical, dropped them off with the team responsible for making it happen without checking it, and by the time they came back it was doing the motorshow rounds.

Looks like the new Tesla design language tbh, which I’ve mentioned before.

Oh great - they've recreated FAB1...

To be honest they deserve to fail and act as a warning to others.

And also who TF wrote this crap?

"The arches, meanwhile, are dramatically swollen to accommodate large-diameter, wide-set allow wheels - and the new Jaguar emblem features just aft of the front wheel on a gold panel, which houses a rear-view camera on each side"

Allow wheels? And a feature just aft of the front wheel which houses a camera on each side? You mean a feature just aft of the front wheel on each side, which houses a rear view camera???

who had been asked to design a new e-type. The lilac is alright, have they taken it from the Taycan?
The section above the rvc Leapers looks RR.

My guess it is a removable battery / fuel cell.

But it might be the on/off switch.

Folds out into a portable seat. So you have somewhere to sit for 4 hours whilst the RAC arrive.

Trying to work out the rear.. is it a tourneau cover like the Cyber truck? Is it a van!? An impractical boot lid with massive lip and high access? If it’s a solid panel ie no rear window, why have a frame line and not just a single piece roof to bumper? Weird anyway. Also, the side cameras will be very low down.. can’t work out if that would be better for parking or will get covered in crud really quickly and no longer work!

And no idea what the big “light switch” is about!! Looking forward to the official reveal later though!
Cheers,

Ian
