Teh Spotted Thread
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
A Fiesta Frascati special edition from about 30 years ago spotted yesterday. Looked like it was being driven by its first and only owners. When did you last see a special edition shopping hatch seemingly named after a cheap substitute for cava?

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
One of the first new shape Land Cruisers.
I like the design - not sure about the Matt powder blue!

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I’m not yet a fan of the looks - the details look unfinished to me.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Looks like a cheap Korean SUV to me. Is that a proper rest of the world spec Land Cruiser or a Prado?

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
My local purveyor of very fine automobiles had left this outside their storage area

Couldn't get closer, but that's probably the rarest car I've ever seen in the metal.
Edit: one of 25 apparently, for sale for £3.5m.

Pretty sure you can get the New Land Cruiser as a Lexus in the US. I’m sure I’ve seen some reviews.Mito Man wrote: Sun Dec 01, 2024 6:26 pm Had a look, it’s still a Prado

I think the retro styled one is pretty cool.
An absolute unit

Yes, one of my neighbours imported a Lexus variant but I think the massive Lexus grill on them isn’t very nice.ZedLeg wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 5:03 pmPretty sure you can get the New Land Cruiser as a Lexus in the US. I guess it is a proximity to good transport (if you can call the M25 that) that influenced their choice of location (same for Porsche SE London which isn't far either). I'd say you'd have to travel a fair way to get their target demographic. Closest I can think of is the private estate near Keston.

Chislehurst has some nice houses, no? That's reasonably close.DeskJockey wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 5:31 pmCuz yous not in Kent, innit? Dem wads of cash just laying about on the streets in the garden of England.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Chislehurst is very nice indeed, as are parts of Petts Wood, but apart from the footballers over in Keston, I'm not sure how many customers there are for £3m+ cars locally. Although I'm guessing cars like that attract an international audience, so perhaps it is irrelevant.GG. wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 5:39 pmChislehurst has some nice houses, no? Being local doesn't matter in that price range, there's only a handful of Bugatti, Pagani, Koenigsegg dealers in the world, and at that price point any dealer is a short private jet/helicopter ride away.

There’s a Koeniggsegg dealer near me, it always has one in the window, bit once i drove past it and there were 8 parked in a row on the little high street. it was a sight to behold!

I imagine it looked like that famous 917 homologation shot:
