This guy normally does F1 videos but these are a great diversion into the geeky engineering side of Top Fuel dragsters:

Think I've posted other Top Fuel stuff before but these are only a month old and he's new to me.

re: Proper DIY, he did a Patreon video saying the scheduled sponsored one was held up by the approver being cut off in the Valencia floods, real life getting in the way and he has a few bigger (and not very video-friendly) projects on the go, so had run out of other stuff to put out.

Those S660's look great - as things get more and more crowded with everyone driving 2m wide cars (who absolutely can't judge the width, so leave 1m gaps when maneuvering) they seem to make more and more sense for blatting around town.

There’s a company somewhere that tunes them to 100bhp. I’d imagine that’ll be an absolute hoot to drive

Not a car YouTube but I’ve been enjoying cutting edge engineering of late- basically an Australian bloke fixing bits off diggers and other big machinery. Also doing his own restoration project on a yard crane

I wonder what the insurance would be for a 17yo on that S660? I’m worried if I go on Autocom Japan’s website I’ll be importing something with more power instead! 🙈😁
Cheers,

Probably a fortune with it being an import.

I'm caught between that being the sort of Kei I'd want, and this being the sort I'd probably end up with (assuming one cannot have the pair) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 24&fromsra
That'd be better for a winter NC500, a bigger camper with garage would be better for the S - but NC500 unfriendly :(
Hang on a mo; I wonder if they've been cleared for ULEZ?

Imports that are petrol and 2007 onwards are OK, the ULEZ system assumes they're Euro 4. I made sure my Stepwgn was after that when I imported it to avoid any issues. Can be tricky to get an exception before that even if the same car was sold later too.

I really have no need for one but I do fancy a kei car. Honda N-One is now over 10 years old (so easier import, just an MOT) and I sometimes have a browse of the auction listings to see what they go for.

To keep it YouTube, here's one already brought to the UK - looks nice but he wants strong money for it.

Ta ;)
Ah, I've watched some of his videos in the past, handy for getting an idea of what the different cars are like 8-)
One irksome issue with Keis is that of underbody protection, I've got used to not having to even think about rust.

Pah, he's had enough seat time in things with oomph to be above slow
AM probably wouldn't have let him have a go if he hadn't though.
Could a deaf driver be prosecuted for their car being too loud?

Did they commit to which they liked best? I got the impression it was Porsche over McLaren. Doesn’t the McLaren have about 50% more power than the Porsche? But the 750S is a road-oriented model while the GT3 RS is more track-focused, so perhaps a GT3 v 750S would be fairer, or the RS v whatever long tail version McLaren bring out.
