Yep - Gives different angles of light to look at swirls and scratches.

You’d also need to put them on the wall for that, otherwise you won’t see the scratches below the waistline of the car. That’s why detailers often have vertical lights on dollys

Very popular for ‘bling’ garages, I think they look awful, I’d rather have a few full length rows of diffused strip lights on individual switches.
