Private number plate

Thinking of an xmas gift. This a 'new' style plate rather than a true private plate. A few sites offer the service at ~300 plus the 80 squid fee. Is this a rip-off or pretty standard?

Both of the above. Look on the dvla site, it’s probably £250 all-in if you buy direct.

Yeah, that. Look on dvla first. A lot of the other sites just advertise what’s on the dvla and add a bit on. Sometimes they remove vat and add the transfer fee separately to make it look cheaper until you go to the checkout!
