Whilst I am aligned with the closing statement, I am not sure the original point is massively relevant when you are selling a product at the price the T50 goes for.

Cheers Mik!

Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
Doesn't appear to have the grip of the GT3RS, but little does - that's its forte, and it was never the main focus for the T50.
What a noise though.

Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
Sounds weird to me, like it's synthesised, but I think it's the microphone.
Is the fan turned off or is there a skill issue here?

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
I don’t think the driver is a pro, but even with the fan on the T50 has way less downforce than a GT3RS (400odd vs 870kg). and comparatively modest tyres.
The engine takes on a weird note a couple of times when he changes into a higher gear.

I thought the fan would be producing way more suction than 400kg

Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
The T50 is intended to be a fairly softly sprung (compared to a GT3 etc) road car is it not?
If you want a track version, you get whatever the track version is.

Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
I hadn’t appreciated how rabid current GT3RS are until I was on track with a couple. Absolute monsters.
Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
Full respect for peddling a T50 with enough enthusiasm to get some snappy ugly corrections, he could be me!
Manual, NA, no silly wing, perfection.
That a GT3RS is quicker around a circuit is about as relevant as a EV winning a drag race to me.
Sound issue, could well be the microphone is partially/wholly covered up or just clipping to all hell with THAT NOISE.

Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
So I guess you get the S if you are more focussed on trackdays. Looks pretty quick....
Re: Gordon Murray T50 Live Launch
Did anyone notice the front right brake disc exploding just before Dario pulled off track?
Not ideal to only manage 3 hot laps before your brakes explode.
Did look and sound phenomenal though.

No, it looks like they've cut it out of the highlights reel, no surprise I guess.speedingfine wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 7:53 pmOh dear, is that the noise at 2.51dan wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 7:41 pm Did anyone notice the front right brake disc exploding just before Dario pulled off track?

I caught it on the live stream, he did 3 flying laps that looked like he was properly on it to be fair, then on the run down to the final right hander before the chicane (which he'd said in an earlier interview he'd be hitting 170mph before the braking zone) it went bang with a big cloud of black smoke and debris out of the right front wheel, he managed to slow it down and make the corner and pulled straight off and into the paddock.
