Tbf the symptoms are fairly mild, in the same arena as the average cold.

Same boat here, after a fortnight flying up and down to London. Sore throat/cough. Most definitely isn't mild. I haven't left my bed in a week and it feels like someone has stabbed me in the throat with a rusty screwdriver, while my lungs are trying to turn themselves insideout like a duvet on laundry day.

Sounds nasty, mine's largely a rasping throat, a tickly cough, loss of taste and a brain which feels like its squinting into some headlights every time I need to concentrate.

Hope you get well soon! Also agree that it's all London's fault. I'm considering where I can move to get away from this city.

I was sure I had it back in Feb but kept testing negative.

I could only get Nasal tests, rather than the throat and nose ones so I'm not altogether sure I was testing correctly.

Funny, if that was an important or new story you'd expect it to appear in other newspapers not just the Telegraph. Yet it's actually reporting the same thing as this article from the BMJ in February which does not give the impression that AZ are likely to be found at fault: https://www.bmj.com/content/384/bmj.q488

There's a separate thread for consiracy theories, Broccers

It's OK Jobbo, the Mail's reporting it now so it must be true...

The Telegraph is just the Daily Mail for people who want to appear to be above reading the Daily Mail.

GWS Dinny, have you lost your sense of taste?

I had it earlier this year too, it was like a weird cold/flu crossover with taste loss. It was fairly unpleasant for a short while but had a long tail, some mild symptoms dragged on for a while, even when the worst had passed.

No, no taste impact. I didn’t have that last time either .

I’m not looking forward to the tickly cough I had last time for about 4 months after getting better. Ex smokers do NOT like any type of long term cough, no matter how certain it’s COVID related and not “something else”

See also tradesmen, always got the asbestos worry when you start hacking away. Convinced loads of us on Teesside had Covid before it was officially here in the back end of 2019, had all the symptoms we now know and love- and a few of the older guys had full investigations with no signs of anything wrong on scans etc, just like Covid

Had my COVID and flu jabs today. Currently a bit shivery - this was the Moderna one again. But I know so many people who’ve been laid low for a week by it again that I did.

I want to get them too, but also hearing people feeling rough afterwards and really don’t want any more downtime. I had a week ill in early Sept, then a holiday, then another little virus so basically feel like I’ve barely done any work for a month lol.
