Without trying to speak for Dan, I understand it is from £15.5k+vat. Which presumably gets you a rebuilt standard spec engine. I suspect most (all?) customers seek some upgrades for moh powah, which will require moh dollars.
Depends what bearings / toe links / dampers etc you get obviously, but I'd say you're in the right ballpark there. Thankfully my S2 Billies cleaned up ok so I stuck with them, and I do actually quite like them so I'm not sure I'm in a hurry to change.Matty wrote: Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:37 pm Cost me about £3.5k to overhaul my suspension on my S2 including Nitrons, Spitfire toe links, bushes, etc and everything cleaned and shotblasted (with HPE).
But that was years ago, so probably more like 5-6k now just for that alone. Plus brakes, plus engine work, plus the other fancy shiny bits.
It's an expensive game!
I wish it was twice the price nowadaysMatty wrote: Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:37 pm Cost me about £3.5k to overhaul my suspension on my S2 including Nitrons, Spitfire toe links, bushes, etc and everything cleaned and shotblasted (with HPE).

I don’t do many bone stock builds, most folks want a little more, some want a lot more….ive built 200 - 650hp in the pastmik wrote: Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:34 pmWithout trying to speak for Dan, I understand it is from £15.5k+vat. Dump away. I don't care if you or Rich buy it.GG. wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 2:29 pm I hate to dump on the Lotus love in but I struggle to see the value in a near 20 year old car with a four cylinder motor and kit car interior with wires hanging out and an incorrect odometer at £25k.
