Meh.

If it was a silver car it would be more palatable. The black GTS is a bastard for showing even the tiniest mark and something on the roof would hit you in the face every time you looked at it given it is below eye level.
I’ve put bikes on every car i’ve ever owned and never damaged a roof in any way. Black M3, carbon roofed M3, etc…

i’m not wanting to move away from the roof option because of potential damage.

I was assuming you’d be keeping the van.
i wouldn’t need an estate m3 and a van..
Yes. That’s exactly why you need to sell the M3 estate and buy a 911 !

The S1 111S got the close ratio gearbox which the standard one didn't, IIRC. Opposite way round to the S2. Still a K-series, not quite the original version and therefore I've no idea if it is as prized but when new they were loved even more than the standard S1.

I don't think they made a bad S1 did they? :D Or I should say, they're all good, it's just how much powah you need.

Pretty sure a lot of people really like the 111S.

This has to go into the pantheon of massive incorrectness I'm afraid.

Oak and Viper on 911s, Boston on e36s, Verde Scuro or Verde Miura on Lamborghini Miuras, Verde Francesca or Pino Verde on Ferraris - the list goes on and on!

If you are talking solely about Elises then maybe I'll let you off.
