I'm sure you've seen Chris posting on Youtube in the past but he suddenly went dark a few months ago. On Monday his former partner announced that he had been sentenced to 23 months in prison for ABH and intentional strangulation. This was the first time he had assaulted her physically and by the looks of it, the last chance he'll get.
I'm really quite shocked by it. He seemed nice, if a bit of a mental health mess.

Re: Chris Pollitt's Freedom
I haven't ever seen his video stuff on Youtube but was aware of him being in the weird car twitter sub-culture.
His deprivation of liberty has been mentioned in the Youtube thread. As were his other indiscretions which did not lead to a prison sentence. Mental health is never an excuse for physically harming others (though that sounds like an exhortation to self harm which I assure you it is not).

Ta. I'd missed that thread. I thought it odd that no-one had mentioned it.

He started popping up on my feed a quite a while ago, I think because a few people I followed commented on his posts.
Kinda peaked my curiosity when I read about his wife/partner banishing him to the garage, then more so when the GoFundMe or whatever started doing the rounds (which I also found strange). Never expected it to reach these levels, but obviously was struggling.
Reading about stuff like this always makes me wonder....like other stories about blokes who do this and worse. Have they done things like this before, or is it possible for anyone to get to a mental state that's so bad they're capable of things like this? The mind is a strange thing....having thankfully never had, or had to deal with difficulties like this first hand, it's morbid curiosity.

A lot of murders are “crimes of passion” ie they typically are one off and most murder victims know their attackers, and equally most murderers only attack one person before being caught.. Noone can drive you crazy like someone you love
Cheers,
