I like how it gets to 150mph (5.48) before the GT3RS gets to 100 (6.84) - and that's because of the Mcmurtry's momentum making it roll past the limiter. If it wasn't limited it'd have got there even faster, from the footage (11mins 5 secs in) maybe under 5 seconds, assuming that's the footage of it happening on that run.

I wasn't very sure what to make of that. Of course I recognised that it's utlising multiple HarryElements, from the logo, locations, shooting techniques, and the entire structure/formatof the video, but it was lacking the gentle piss-ripping that might have allowed it to qualify as a parody. The cat was the only bit that made me snigger....

He does explain in the last couple of minutes that it was just a bit of (very much respectful) fun, and I guess it's likely to get him more views.

I did get annoyed however when he mentioned a couple of things - like AC - that were options, but "not fitted to this particular model". Erm no - you mean they are not fitted to this particular car or vehicle or example.

And I totally appreciate the argument that a stereo isn't really a priority when you have a sonorous multi-cylinder powerplant, but can you really apply that argument to a rather dull sounding 4-pot simply 'cos it goes whoosh?

The fact that so many other Youtube car people film on the B4437 between Charlbury and Burford (I won't call it Harry's road because it was Clarkson's first) means that it was only a matter of time before someone ripped off his format completely.
