I know TG is now dead, but I was listening to the latest Sniff & Smith podcast the other night (which I don't often get a chance to do) Episode 208 "Talking Cars With Pet Shop Boys". Richard/SniffP/Aquadrome noted towards the end that in his head he'd created The Stig as "Kimi Raikkonen meets Chris Lowe*.

Funny insight  and a very amusing episode.

*ie the non-talkative Pet Shop Boy - for those (like me) who aren't huge fans

“Although it is a road trip series, the show will be different in format to Top Gear in that it will not focus on cars and motoring issues”

Hateful title, they've probably got Pritti in to narrate.

Paddy McGuinness seems to be kiss of death for shows currently. Harris is clutching at straws here.

I'm not a cricket fan but the first series was really good. In this episode they talk about his crash and touch on how much it messed with his head.

It may well just be me but it sounds like the BBC/prod. bods' attitude was like many on the road, not considering consequences, expecting to survive any crash and have someone else to blame so shouldering no responsibility. All that for Light Entertainment.
