Oasis reunion.
Oasis reunion.
Can't say I was huge fan back in the day but I want to be there if this happens. I imagine the atmosphere will be amazing!

I saw them years ago at MK Bowl and tbh it was quite a forgettable gig, although I was never a big fan either
Re: Oasis reunion.
I was a big fan and still listen to the first couple of albums now.
Liam Gallagher was Britain’s last great rockstar.
Absolutely no interest in paying a couple of hundred quid to go see them go through the motions though.

An absolute unit

The cynic in me wonders if they genuinely want to do this or if they’ve just got a big tax bill

Tuesday is gonna be the day….

Re: Oasis reunion.
We took the kids to see Liam do ‘Definitely Maybe’ at the 02 earlier in the year (my 6 year old is a fan!) and he was on form - more like the 1995 rather than the 2005 Liam. It felt like he’d put in a lot of effort to put on a great show.Zonda_ wrote: Sun Aug 25, 2024 11:39 pm Can't say I was huge fan back in the day but I want to be there if this happens. They’ll both dance around this for the next year, making millions on just the promise.
However, until they’re both on stage at Glastonbury, it could all go south. They have both felt they hold the moral superiority for the last 15 years and neither wants to loose that.
Something as minor as a one dressing round on closer to the stage than the other will kybosh the lot.
Personally, I couldn’t give a shit. They’re hogging the headline spot from someone I might want to watch

I missed out seeing them a couple of times in the 90s. I saw Liam at Knebworth a couple of years ago and Noel back in May. If this is legit then I’ll be getting tickets, VIP if I can get them.
Re: Oasis reunion.
5? I count 14
Re: Oasis reunion.
Yeah - 5 locations - 14 shows etc...
Possible world tour to follow. Don't think they'll play Glastonbury as this would be before the stadium shows and also televised.

Re: Oasis reunion.
I really liked their first couple of albums, like many on here I expect they can put while we were at impressionable ages and enjoying a bit of freedom and probably a fair bit of alcohol.
Never really been that interested in seeing them live, even by the late 90s the quality of their live performances seemed rather variable. I have no doubt that when they’re in the mood and doing it properly it’s a great gig, but get the impression you never know which version of them is going to turn up.

Saw them at Knebworth whenever that was. Enjoyed the Blur/Oasis rivalry at the time.
Have a couple of their albums but I won't be paying extortionate money to go to the gig.

Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Oasis reunion.
I saw them the last night they preformed at Wembley in 2009, and I remember it being a really amazing gig. Got there early with my brother and some how managed to end up in the golden circle right at the front. They did have Kasabian, The Enemy and Reverend and the Makers supporting, so it felt like a mini festival. They then went on to have a bust up and the rest is history as they say. I've liked a lot of Noel's solo stuff. Be interesting to see how the reunion goes. I wouldn't mind seeing them again, just for the experience. But I imagine it's going to cost a fortune if you're lucky enough to get tickets.

I fear this announcement will make me constipated.
