Teh Spotted Thread
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Saw a new 5 Series today. They managed to make it bland, slab sided and hideous all in one!
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I was in Bromsgrove for a curry last night. Spotted my last A6 Allroad parked almost opposite me in the car park when I left. It’s nice to see your old cars out and about.

Given the state of my old cars when I get rid of them, it really wouldn't be good to see mine out and about!Jobbo wrote: Thu Aug 15, 2024 6:33 am I was in Bromsgrove for a curry last night. MC20 in a dark blue/slate/grey/spectacular colour. Looked lovely.
As did the burgundy 812GTS that followed it.. had a look online, they’re keeping their value far too well for my liking/wallet!

Nice spot Steve - looked better when you had it!
Much better photo than mine of my old car which is why I didn’t initially post it:

67km of fudge.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
On the way back to our car I spotted the owner getting in so went and said hi. Same guy I sold it to - having now checked - on 9th May 2020. He's done 45k miles in it and loves it. As well as the wheels & lowering he's had the engine & gearbox remapped and it's been totally reliable for him. He was slightly bemused (but also happy) that I'd gone around in a circle and was driving an F10 again now
The odds of seeing one of my old cars in France are incredibly remote, but also talking to the owner and seeing how much he enjoys & looks after the car was the icing on the cake. Possibly the highlight of the holiday for me !

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
i saw a boomerang light Maserati GT yesterday - still looked good, but it was a light metallic blue which i thought made it look a little heavy around the rear bumper (not their best angle anyway. it was immaculate condition though!
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I saw a nice corrado, a well modded S1 Elise and one of those Aston superleggera things all parked next to each other when I was walking home.
The want for a low and purposeful looking Elise is getting stronger.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I was out for a walk yesterday and spotted a Ferrari driving past me silently in a queue of traffic. I knew it must have been a 296GTB rather than an SF90 but had to check by googling them to be sure. No matter how damn quick the hybrid kit makes the 296, the lack of noise was very disappointing.
Re: Teh Spotted Thread

Dutch person taking 2 x Maserati Grand Prix style MX5 based chassis back home with them.
Thought it looked like the one Ant Anstead built.
Think it’s the exact same kit

Is that the H-town meet? I forget where people are based
If it is, I never seem to hear about them until I see photos the day after, but would like to go if they fit in with my work.
I’m not exactly local, it’s around an hour away, but then so is the ‘local’ east coast one I regularly go to!

Yeah, that's it. They're always on the last Monday of the month. The summer ones at the Cricketers are very well attended (usually over 100 cars I think), particularly so the last one because of the bank holiday. Over the winter (from now on) they go back to the market square in Hitchin, I haven't made it to one of those yet (between work commitments and bad weather it hasn't lined up), but I think they're a lot quieter.integrale_evo wrote: Tue Aug 27, 2024 3:27 pm Is that the H-town meet? Given me a shout if you're going along, I live in Hitchin so if I'm around and the weather is good, I'll be aiming to get to it. My neighbour has a VX220, so we usually both go.

Some classic cars from a local village show. My in-laws had their 1953 Moggie there (the older black one). On FB but should be public.
