Re: Your fleet running reports
The whole process was efficient but utterly impersonal. Request service on the Tesla app, the request is processed then they ask you to pre-approve the work and book into a local Tesla service centre. You drop it off in the car park and mark on the app that you have arrived, then a bit later you get another message when it is done. I could message the team a couple of questions through the app but I didn't speak to a single human being face to face. And I even used the loo in the showroom twice.

sounds quite appealing. i’d love it if they did that for clothes shops.Explosive Newt wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 6:02 pm The whole process was efficient but utterly impersonal. Have you considered going to less fancy clothing stores?Rich B wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 7:20 pmsounds quite appealing. i’d love it if they did that for clothes shops.Explosive Newt wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 6:02 pm The whole process was efficient but utterly impersonal. The fancy ones are usually ok - they just carry on standing at the til doing whatever and give you a nod as you walk in, it’s the high st type ones where (as happened in the Levi shop the other day) i had 3 people come up to me to ask if i “needed any help” over the 5 minutes i was in there, then the last one hovered nearby watching me. Just fuck off. if i need anything, i will come over and ask.Mito Man wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 8:27 pmHave you considered going to less fancy clothing stores?Rich B wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 7:20 pmsounds quite appealing. i’d love it if they did that for clothes shops.Explosive Newt wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 6:02 pm The whole process was efficient but utterly impersonal. all these shops would be better with zero staff input imo.

Don’t blame the staff, blame the morons above who have decided this is what customers want and train the staff to do it, and probably do checks every now and then to make sure they are.
But yes, I would rather be left alone with zero interaction unless I initiate it if I can’t see what I’m after or would like some help / advice.

Re: Your fleet running reports
It’s so much worse when they ask with a flat look on their face, you both know they are being watched and HAVE to say it.
They should have bells situated around the store and when you need help, ring the bell. Then anyone not re-stocking or on the till can relax in a back room somewhere.

i’m well aware it’s a policy thing - i worked in a menswear shop in my teens (before RichBShorts kicked off…) it doesn’t get any less annoying though!integrale_evo wrote: Mon Aug 05, 2024 9:40 pm Don’t blame the staff, blame the morons above who have decided this is what customers want and train the staff to do it, and probably do checks every now and then to make sure they are.

In the early noughties, I was once asked to leave a TopMan for asking if something came in XL.

I remember a Topman Large was about right for a 12 year old boy.Explosive Newt wrote: Tue Aug 06, 2024 6:00 am In the early noughties, I was once asked to leave a TopMan for asking if something came in XL.

Shit!.. that looks really good! Targa’s have a different sus set up (and without PASM, I think?) so may be a more relaxed drive.
I had hoped the new GTS would be on my company car scheme (being a hybrid and all!), but guess it’s not meant to be!
Cheers,
Ian

Looking great @andybond
Did you already have Nitrons or were they a new addition with the refurb?
