Your fleet running reports
Re: Your fleet running reports
Mine (when I get one) is going to be my everyday car so I’ll probably not go for a Targa; I wouldn’t even spec a sunroof. The MX5 can be my open car fix.
Nothing wrong with black paint on them, and GTS models get the nicer bumpers as standard which is want on an S. Since I’ll be buying a 2-3yr old 2022/2023 car when I am ready to buy, I’ll just have to hope there is a spec I like available…

I use a Norbar 5:1 torque multiplier, however I hadn’t realise how expensive they were. I didn’t pay £900

It's a 992 Targa 4 GTS (I think that's the right words in the right order) and whoever specced it seemed to love Spinal Tap - "It’s like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black". Not a fan of all black cars but here we are. And yes, centre lock wheel nuts. The salesman just laughed and said, if you get a puncture, don't even try and get them off. We'll come and pick it up from you, sort it and deliver it back/

All black also wasn’t my preference but I’ve grown to like it.
I ought to give a 992 a go at some point. Targa looks great too - I think in the 991.1s there was concern about the extra weight but the additional torque of the 991.2/992 should nullify that.
It has the rear number plate in the correct place so

More likely a fan of Disaster Area...Ascender wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 9:03 pm

Nice one, although next time don't let Beany take the pics
I've always preferred the 911 Targa over the rest of the range.

How about not having a sig at all?

The only correct body in a 911 is coupe, which is why I love the Targa so much. I think the silver hoop looks great.
Congrats on the move and the new motor.

Same but I'm much, much further away from being able to buy one.Jobbo wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2024 9:19 pm
Really envious of the 911. I am thinking about them pretty much every day now. I want that Rubystar one I posted a link to.

Don't worry Dinny, I got the reference.

It seems like you've only just got the Touring
It also feels like it shouldn't be getting that dark up there yet
Apart from that,

@Ascender Be glad yours is black with black. I don't think this combo works well at all:

Re: Your fleet running reports
Quite a common thing to have contrasting fabric roofs on Elises....doesn't really work on that 911.

That is terrific. And a loaner SUV to help you move is staggeringly good service!
Look forward to seeing more pics.

Wheel bent on Tesla. Goodness knows how I did that. Repairing a more involved job now. New wheel £360 + spannering.

Re: Your fleet running reports
An unwanted expense is never good but £360 seems like getting off lightly, more like the extra cost per wheel of optioning up a size than a whole wheel.
