Jerry can recommendations
Re: Jerry can recommendations
I think I'll get a 10l one as well - picked up a 10l plastic can from Screwfix on my way home from work yesterday but it'll be good to compare the two.
@mik - where have you bought yours? The 10l ones seem to be a bit variable, some not the right shape (no bump behind the handle for instance) and some just a scaled down version of the 20l rather than half height. They all seem to be the same price as the 20l can so I may end up going for one of those anyway...

Sorry. - your @ didn’t work properly.
I was looking at a budget half-height one from Amazon, but the reviews weren’t glowing. I really fancied a Wavian, but it seemed a bit extravagant, so I plumped for an Invopac one off of the bay.
It’s a scale down rather than a half-height that I fancied, but they seem to be robust and reliable, which were my main priorities.

Re: Jerry can recommendations
@Jobbo Not sure what you went for in the end, but my Invopac delivery just arrived. The weld down the middle could have been ground back a little more evenly, but it’s definitely solidly made, handle feels strong, and the lid & nozzle both fit snugly. Happy with that.

Re: Jerry can recommendations
Only one handle though
I haven't even got round to filling up my 10l plastic can yet, so I'll see how annoying that is before I buy a metal jerry can as well. Not sure how awkward the local petrol stations are about filling up multiple containers; I will see. I think Jimmy gave me back the Jimny with a pretty much full tank of fuel and I only tend to fill them when I go out and fill that up, so I don't have to mess around with multiple different fuels.

Yeah, if I’d won the Euromillions I’d have plumped for a half-height Wavian, and cost be damned.

It’s only £30 you tight git. How much did your one banger cost?
How about not having a sig at all?

Wavian is more like £50 once you’ve added a spout.
Do you know how many bottles of Buckie £20 buys you?
Re: Jerry can recommendations
Hopefully enough to make you forget the error of your ways!

Not wanting to show off but Ive got a red Wavian.
Real ballers have these though…. One day I shall have one too.

Re: Jerry can recommendations
I bought another 10l plastic can. Based on how often I refill them I’d be better off with a couple of 20l jerry cans and I will get them as some point. However, the time to refill them is when I take a petrol car to the garage to fill and now that is my MX5. Turns out three 10l plastic cans from Screwfix fit in the indent in the boot floor neatly and don’t fall over. So maybe that’s actually the more practical solution
