Division 1 Superkarts at Donno.

You can see they are bloody quick, and then at around 5mins50 the camera kart arrives at the back-markers - who are clearly in different divisions but :o this cements that they are extremely bloody quick.

(Also no mirrors means the responses of the cars you are passing are far more predictable. Still think it would be worth F1 trying no-mirrors..... :geek: )

130mph in a go kart is insane.

I went to Daytona a couple of weeks back, and before our session we saw their DMAX karts, which are 70mph ones, and even those look mad enough. I keep meaning to try those out.

Those speeds with no suspension. Blimey. I imagine the brakes aren't just on the back axle...?

Correct - these have a (teeny) disc & calliper on each front wheel, plus one on the rear axle AFAIK.

They are hilarious to drive but really physical, that chap is shifting 8-) .

My cg mates decided to have a stab at 125 Gearbox on short circuits circa 20 yrs ago and within 2 weeks there was about 8 of us.

ETA looks like the 250's are over 100bhp now

A follow up.

Christ alive the wiring loom and on block cooling pipework setup on that engine looks like it was done by the work experience kid. At a design level, I mean, not installed by.
Spoiler
Not getting any more attention unless a used engine that costs less than five figures comes up. The videos have done really badly, too, apparently no-one wants to watch Maser content.

Tend to enjoy the Mat Armstrong/Rebuild vids, not seen this guy before but for obvious reasons, this caught my eye.

"Why is it so cheap" - well he's about to find out, when only a few front end parts (even before the scary expensive bits) comes to £12k from Alfa. So he goes off to Birmingham, and gets everything he needs (and more) for £3700. "And we got a reciept!" he says.

Surely you can't be this naive. He's seen the parts prices, £3700 would barely cover the bonnet, lights and carbon splitter, before you add on everything else he's had in that haul. A clean bonnet alone would probably fetch £2k.

If we ignore the wheels then this is identical to my old Mirafiori, what a car that was!

Finally got round to watching this the other day. What an awful pile of crap that engine looks, right down to its cast rods and crank.

It's....really bad isn't it?

Particularly when you see him pull out BMW engines and they look pretty clean and carefully routed, wiring and plumbing wise - even the Sxx engines

Yep. It was horrific enough to watch the first time when he did the variators.

I mean I know we all laugh about BMWs leaking, but by and large that's just aged seals.

Neither but I do remember a proliferation of 2 seat F1 cars some years ago. IIRC it was £40 for one lap when I was at Silverstone probably close to 10 years ago on a non F1 weekend!

And I reckon it’s the exact same car with just a livery change.
Kinda wish I stumped up the £40 now, since it was a proper elongated F1 car vs the more recent stuff which I think is F3 Dallara based.
How about not having a sig at all?
