;) There may well be better examples or specs, I just chose that as an e.g. because of the seats. I don't know how a 6GT compares.

I have a lot of headroom but I'm only 6'1, my friend is 6'3 and he fits in with lots of room to spare, not a lot of room in the back for legs however.

I can make the seat go back far enough so I can't touch the pedals though

One the same spec as mine would be a lot more economical on a run, and will still pass the alleged speed limiter at 155, which certainly doesn't seem to exist!

I'd probably buy this though, just because, why not?

Is that a transverse mounted V8?!
There can’t be many v8s with that layout in the world?!
How about not having a sig at all?

I think it's the same in the XC90 as well, which iirc Mr Yu of this parish used to own?

They don't sound very V8, but it's a nice engine, a bit like a Passat W8 though, in that it's interesting, but not particularly fast, I think the 3.0 T6 that replaced it was quicker.

It's my colour, my seats, and because I'm slightly snobby about engines being the 535 is important, and it seems like a good price. It's a very good shout.

This generation of 5, 5GT, 6GC, and 7 are all quite closely related. The tech and the drivetrains are the same in all of them. The 5GT & 6GC are longer than a 5, but slightly shorter than a 7. The 5GT & 6GC are almost identical to each other in length/width, but the GT is a lot taller.

I think if the 5 is the cooking model then the 6GC is a stylish stretched 5, and the GT is a hatchback 7 on stilts.

While I'm on the topic of being stylish, WTAF have BMW done to the front of the current 7 Series ???

Look at the door handles.

It's to aid acceptance of the Neue Klasse, though the Neue Klasse X looks alright anyway.

A good summation of that gen 5/6/7 but...but...you forgot the 6 GT :o Ok, that's probably a different gen...would make a good puzzle in an escape room (the 3 GT is obvs smaller :P :D ).

You're right, it's the subsequent generation, the 6GT replaced the 5GT. The '6' is now only available as the GT. Or the X6 which is a tall hatchback coupe version of the 5. While the 6GT is obviously totally different, being a coupe hatchback that's taller than a 5.

BMW are really splitting hairs on the niches here

Don't be too hasty - there is always the Reducerange Rover?

I'm sure it will meet all of your criteria.

You might be thinking of the DB9 - the Vantage is a pure 2-seater. It's not bad but it's not enough for this trip.
Well there you go, DB9 😂

The Tesla went suprisingly sideways a couple of times out of roundabouts on Monday morning. I wonder if they have relaxed the traction control in the latest software update.

If that is the case- let’s completely change the way a car handles at speed via remote update without telling the drivers, that sounds like a safe and responsible thing to do

Or it might have been that the roads were unusually greasy after the rain.

I’m actually sure the duration that the indicators stay on for was changed though, and that is jarring as I keep cancelling them but they just stop the nanosecond before I cancel them so I end up indicating the wrong way. In this fashion, I look like a right nob.

Just indicate in the fashion of seeming most electric car drivers in my area, and don’t. Not sure if it’s the sudden lack of interaction with the vehicle because these people have moved from a manual gearbox for the first time, but I’ve noticed a trend towards not indicating at all in electrics. Maybe they just used to be supporting the stereotype that BMWs don’t indicate

That's probably aimed more at owners of the facelift Model 3 who don't have an indicator stalk

As @16vCento pointed out, the XC90 has the same layout, as does the Lancia Thema 8.32.

It must be the white Giulia Quadrifoglio surely?
