Spotted a black twincab pickup of some description scoot up to and sit on the arse of an ambulance doing a good 70mph (I was showing 65 and it went past me well enough). It may have looked at undertaking it as well but my view was impeded so not 100% sure. Typical of one of those spankers.

I suspect that is a Style Edition and they came with wheels and graphics in black or white as standard (or - free option - remove them). That Rubystar paint works well with white alloys, you may be surprised to hear. There was one in that colour scheme in Tewkesbury Porsche last year.

Yes, but, you know, blue veined.

Plenty of colours on the configurator, of course; https://configurator.porsche.com/en-GB/ ... oof=closed

Mini headlights, Micra rears? I don't hate it, but the Healey reference is a bit of a stretch.

On the Edinburgh Bypass yesterday morning, saw a load of Porsches and a white Evora, but did not see the driver or reg - @mik ?

Must have been some sort of car show as then saw some muscle cars on the M8 heading West later on. Big engines poking out the bonnet, but no idea what type as it was hosing down so visibility for car cazing wasn't great.

Yeah - that was me! Either heading to or from @scotta so we could do a little work together on both Evora & Elise. Two pairs of hands make lighter work, and it was an excuse for a catch-up and to sample a cheese, ham, cheese, beans & cheese toastie. 8-)

It was cheese, beans, ham, cheese, beans & Cheese. You also got the last of the super toasties loaf. You missed a beans level.

No Pics unfortunately but a 996 GT2 in black.

Still a very imposing looking thing, even after the recent "Over Max-Powerification" of recent GT3's

Spotted recently:
On Wednesday - a Bentley Conti convertible in a rather lovely shiny light blue on the M4 near Newport; it passed us and I spotted a Tiffany badge on the boot lid. Reg was something like 1 TCW. Can't find that or any variation of it with the DVLA though.
On Friday - loads of nice cars throughout the Cotswolds. At Diddly Squat Farm Shop there was an orange McLaren (720S I think) with a massive aerial-type thing which was presumably an Insta360 camera. I'm sure his footage of driving into the car park was fascinating.
On Sunday - a new shape Aston Vantage on the M5. My god it looks fabulous. I'd not paid much attention to it because all Astons look pretty much the same in photos but it looks at once mean, pretty, eye-catching but not brash. I''m now going to play with the configurator.

I was out walking one of our dogs recently when a Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake came past. I'd seen pics and was really "meh" but it looked jaw dropping from the rear three quarters, and soooo wide. :o 8-)

Like this one.

I don't think I'd realised how infrequently I see recent Astons. Certainly eye-catching and with Mercedes mechanicals, should be reliable...? IIRC Evo really liked the DB12 in ECOTY last year too.
