It’s like dating Margot Robbie but asking her to peg you.
I'd let her.

I'm not anti-EV by any means, but I do wonder why the owners decide to go this route.
The Welsh chap who was doing lots of these produced bolt in and out kits so the cars could be returned to standard fairly easily. You'd be mad to hack about a Testarossa or even a 964!

After reading the article in Evo I find myself looking up Bentley Continental GTs.

I can think of at least two of you who would go for this;

That’s so pretty I could weep!

It makes knowing people are ripping the heart out of a poor Testarossa more bearable.

Also, without engine and transmission noise, the interior of a Ferrari while driving down the road must be a squeaky creaky hell.

I've seen a couple of similar claims - I'd like to see an independent assessment of these assertions tbh. :? (As I suspect that focussing on making it reversible is very likely to bring compromises to the EV conversion :?: )

Assuming W12 - Fantastic engine, lots of VW parts, and suspiciously BMW seats. Saggy roof lining. You’ll struggle hard to get much over 20mpg, ever.

Do it.

Went on the Eve website and couldn't find anything about it but didn't realise the magazine is so easily available online for free now...

Nobody wants her to peg them after she's pegged Mito first.

Sounds evocative. Someone at work did offer me a drive in his, I declined him as the insurance proved a faff but will have to revisit this.

That TDF is lovely, the colour really works on it.

TDF Might be my favourite looking Ferrari. I think it just looks so much better than any of the other recent(ish) front engine V12s they've made.

That is lovely, but £895k? I didn't realise front-engined V12 Ferraris ever traded for more than list price until they were proper classics.

I do like DKEngineering (who do £verywell in this slice of the industry), but....

DK: This UK supplied RHD example was supplied new to British nobility in 2017 by Dick Lovett Ferrari. As we understand, the reason behind this car makes it a unique proposition. The first owner was a friend of the late Gianni Agnelli, famed Italian industrialist and former principal shareholder of Fiat. After assisting Agnelli in the 1980s, the commissioner was afforded a unique opportunity- should there be a Ferrari he wanted, one should be made available. A favour he called upon just twice before, this F12 TdF was chosen as number three.

Punters: Ooh. A little mysterious, but clearly a real enthusiast to select this car & deliberate it's specification so carefully and meticulously. Quite romantic!

DK (possibly) : Indeed!

Punters: You mention "the first owner" though. Which implies they aren't the previous owner. So I guess the original enthusiast owner actually sold it on relatively quickly.....

DK (possibly): Our advert wording is intentionally ambiguous on this subject. You inference that the vehicle has enjoyed more than one discerning owner may be true, but I cannot confirm or deny anything. Other than the romance associated with it's history.

Punters: Ah OK. Well I guess that - as a keen enthusiast - the original owner did at least enjoy driving the car whilst it was in their tenure! That's cool. I guess.

DK (possibly): Of course! Romantically. Although the vehicle has - sympathetically - covered only 260 miles since new.

Punters: Oh - so it appears the romantic enthusiast original owner only drove 260 miles in it? That's not a huge amount of enjoyment at all really.

DK (possibly): Erm. That's the total mileage across all previous owners. Romantically of course.

Punters: Ah.

=-=-=-=-

edit: based on catty comment from Tom Hartley Jr on that Insta thread, I can see that they previously sold this car too. Not sure when. Looks like the purchaser enjoyed covering 13 miles in it before passing it to DK to find a new owner. 8-) clik

Is there any cached version of Hartley's site which show his asking price? Probably only catty because there's more profit in it now than then
