Inspired by @mik's thread on utensils, here is Thunderstruck played on them:

But... it's not as good as 2 Cellos' version:

Or Steve 'n' Seagulls' version:

It took me a while to realise that the injury attorney ads on Whistlin Diesel are actually genuine.

That's been a thing on other cars for ages, right?

And it's kinda shit on them, too.

"logo" puddle lights have been a thing for a while, but this is "next level naff" using a projector with an animated image. :(

And given that it's a projector and can provide an animated image.... that's the best they came up with? :?

I believe that the X-rated "Flying B rogering the Spirit of Ecstasy from behind" idea met with stunned silence.

Oh Zed, you already know someone did during testing.

Everyone does. We don't need evidence of it, we just know it happened at some point.

Also, that's animated? I couldn't bloody tell, which makes it rather pointless.

Just more evidence that we reached the peak of automobiles a while ago and now they're just adding useless shit to make up for lacking in many other areas.

Nah, this is just a typical upsell, which is probably priced at something ridiculous like £1500 for £30 of hardware, which a certain class of buyer will absolutely option so that when you show Tarquin from the trading floor, he doesn't point out that don't have them, inferring that you couldn't afford it.

When did exquisite craftsmanship and quality get confused with chintzy gauche nouveau riche bling? What a stupid and pointless gimmick.

Tarquin takes it to the local carwash "remember to polish the indoor projector so the logo really sparkles on the ground".

Can't remember now but I did see a car last week do an animation on the ground with its headlights as its owner unlocked it. Guessing it's a side effect of those fancy LED matrix lights though rather than a projector shoved in a door.

Been like that for a while. Mrs mik's is a 2020 model so doesn't do anything as fancy.
