That. I listened to approx 1.5 episodes of CC and it just didn’t grab me.RobYob wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 10:15 pm My limited podcast time is far better spent on Smith n Sniff.
Collecting cars

Re: Collecting cars
I don't know what the link is between privilege and pretentiousness, I'd say that they each talk about their experiences with cars without claiming to know more than they do, but most of them are a fair authority: Chris (obvious), Neil (owned many many interesting cars and is always buying and selling), Edward (his whole life really), Chris Cooper (a director of motorsport UK), Manish (personal friend of big Bernie, producer of Senna).Jobbo wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 8:31 pm It’s a decent bunch of quite privileged chaps of a certain age - it’s pretty pretentious generally. But I enjoy it.
I think it's a varied group that has some pretty interesting stories and insights, might not be everyone's cup of tea, and generally privileged yes, but wouldn't call it pretentious.
Neil is my favourite, and in terms of background actually the least privileged, but now I imagine the wealthiest by far.
Re: Collecting cars
The early ones with Monkey and Ed just chatting with notable car people like Dave Edmonton, Colin Goodwin etc were often hilarious.
The later stuff as mentioned became a little wanky and never really interested me.
ETA if youre looking for them the older ones were titled "Chris Harris/Ed Lovett talks cars with xx" rather than the later "Collecting Addicts Episode xx"
