GG has a 911.
Re: Your fleet running reports
Ah, I thought he was referring to the potential Cayenne purchase he could have bought when he instead made the decision to stick with the RR, but obvs now you say it

Re: Your fleet running reports
**refreshes MOT check website for the seventieth time today**
Where's mah MOT and service, garage?
Edit: serviced.
Thier deliver guy fucked up and spilled the engine oil into the cabin filter during the delivery though, so they had to get that redelivered, which pushed it to end of day, so MOT tomorrow morning
Mechanic let me have a look under the car while he finished off the gearbox oil, it's nice and clean under there, no notable leaks in the engine bay, and he told me about his supercharged E46 M3 that he had... That he binned

Re: Your fleet running reports
MOT'd, no advisories. Front brakes getting a little low, and one of the control arm bushes is noticably, but neither of those are 'advisory' level bad, just something he thought I'd like to know about, so I'll look into that and probably get them to replace the control arms bushings with something a bit sturdier.
Edit: Sailed through with flying colours is the phrase i believe, think that's a first for me.

If the Cayenne engine was in a pickup body you could, the internal hauling capacity is must have.Sundayjumper wrote: Sun May 19, 2024 11:49 amCan I interest you in a very cheap petrol Cayenne ??? 3500kg towing capacity.
Re: Your fleet running reports
Aaaaaaaaaand my second set of actually warped discs, Brembo again but this set had done about 15000 miles.
Cleaned them up, no pad transfer, clocked with a DTI and yep, 0.29mm of runout.
Decided on genuine discs from Merc, £80 more for discs and pads but runout was 0.02mm and smooth as butter.
I didn’t measure the TT but that’s 2 pairs over about 20 pairs in my motoring life.
No more Brembo for me.
Dave!

An absolute unit
Re: Your fleet running reports
I find the Brembo stuff to be fine but they do a wide range of products. Even for the Tesla the basic discs were £150 ish each up to £500 each for the good ones. Obviously left the old ones on there at that price
I ordered some ATE discs for the rear of the 6 series as I remember my independent saying they’re extremely sensitive and anything but OEM results in wobble.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Your fleet running reports
A friend of mines 991.2s turbo s had an unfortunate incident with an angle grinder and headlight removal. This led to him in a brand new GT3 touring. Got to say while 220k is a huge ask it's a bloody lovely car. Absolutely amazing. Must buy a lottery ticket or do some work

Re: Your fleet running reports
Weirdly, MOT tester this morning said near enough the same thing. He used to buy Brembo, trusted brand and all that, but lately he's seen the disks go to shit on the regular, to the extent that he explicitly warns people off them now.
So I don't think it's just you....

It’s quite well known isn’t it; low heat, low power usage lights are popular with weed growers
