10k RPM is nothing. Imagine how high it could go with an electric engine, they spin much faster!

You need to bash a wee divot into the footwell. Make sure you're pressing the pedal all the way down.

Funnily enough, throttles not opening fully was a bit of a Lotus problem at one point I believe.
