4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Ears always look worse as they seem to bleed really bad.
Hopefully they don’t react badly to normal dog play!

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
He’s been playing fine with missy. We’ve kept them in today to give him a day to decompress, we’ll see what he’s like tomorrow
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
@V8Granite I hope Hutch is doing well.
@jamcg I hope Toby has forgotten what happened.

Forum dog?
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
It’s been a month since Toby was attacked, he’s still more reactive than he used to be but he’s still better than he was when we first got him. We’ve got him a jacket to say “reactive not aggressive” which at least lets people understand his behaviour. Hopefully won’t need it long term but we’ll see.
And as always any excuse for a picture

Neighbor has added Dakota's half sister to the flock. (Same Dad). Lovely ball of fluff now and apparently, bullying her full size brotherV8Granite wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 2:13 pmRottweilers rock!dinny_g wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 12:26 pm Living vicariously though our neighbor's...
Had a bit of play with next doors Rottweiler. He's an awesome dog. Still a puppy but mahooosive. He never barks, is inquisitive but calm. My neighbour got him from the same breeder where his parents got their family dogs when he was a kid. So Dakota is the the same bloodline which I think is pretty cool.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
@jamcg Met a couple of dogs from Glasgow Greyhound Trust at a party over the weekend as one of the folks that runs that org was also there.
They had a girl (that they have adopted into their home) with only half her jaw remaining on one side (leaving her with a squinty face) who was very sweet and - surprisingly - wanted to chew at the decking whenever she got a chance. They also had a boy with them that they are fostering whilst waiting for an adopter to take over - he was friendly with everyone but took a particular shine to me and just wanted to lean on me and get fussed all afternoon. Really lovely dogs. (but no - we can't take another K9 on )

Greyhounds are awesome, if anyone’s ever considering one don’t discount black ones. For some reason they end up being the last ones to be adopted.
They’re also the smallest big dog you can find, as they’ll happily curl up into a little ball so you don’t need a lot of space for them
They also are lazy shits so don’t need anywhere near the exercise everyone thinks

A male and female is a good mix, naturally the female defends the flock and the males fight the intruder.dinny_g wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 10:22 amNeighbor has added Dakota's half sister to the flock. Mine just fight over who gets the attention first.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Yep, a gentle gallop for 10 minutes or a 30 minute walk and they are gomden. They also have very soft fur which makes them lovely cuddlers.jamcg wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 11:37 am Greyhounds are awesome, if anyone’s ever considering one don’t discount black ones. Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Treina made me delete the Facebook dog pages as she was annoyed at how many dogs I wanted to adopt. Considering she is a single mum for 6 months a year I think this was a sensible choice.

Someone just sent me a link - this is alarmingly accurate.
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
The cheese tax is ridiculous, it’s the only thing that gets them in the garden for a wee if it’s raining haha.
So I wanted to do it with Flash but never got round to it, much to my dismay. So on Monday I went for a touristy walk around London with Hutch.
First time on a train but the noise etc didn’t bother him, he was quite chilled, had a look out the window and generally chilled on the way there.
After arriving at King’s Cross we navigated the busy barriers and general hullabaloo with panache. So then headed off to St James park via the Eggslut.
A bit of breakfast….
Then to Buckingham palace where we said hello to Cherish Finden, she was loud and lovely.
From there we did Trafalgar, many bridges, a couple of public toilets which were awkward, I don’t know what people thought when I walked in with him, he is a watcher and may have made people nervous. A walk down south bank, a couple of pubs and then a snooze home on the train.
We only had 1 issue with a lady who started shouting at me, swung her handbag about a bit and ran off. Everyone else was fine even though we went through some really busy areas at times.
If you are single though, get a big friendly dog, you feel like a stud with the looks you get
Lovely day, 8/10, it would have been 9 but we only saw 2 police horses.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
He's a handsome chap Dave. Don't know how you managed to get a pic of him with Geoff Capes though.
An absolute unit
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
That looks like an excellent day and that Hutch enjoyed all the new stimulation and experiences
If I'd been there I would definitely have asked if I could say hello to him - don't read anything more into that.

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
I've heard two ladies, one with a rottweiler, one without;
"You're dog should have a muzzle on!"
"You should."
It was when Colin Furze did "Fart at the French" at Folkestone, the pup was clearly unsure about the number of people about and could have done with some leadership/reassurance even though its demeanour before hand was calm and relaxed.
