Today’s want
Re: Today’s want
Talking about Collecting Cars, why would you buy a Turbo S and then make it look like a GT3 RS?

Re: Today’s want
Those wing vents are one of my favourite details on any car so I’m for it.
An absolute unit
Re: Today’s want
3.8l is an absurdly large engine in a small car .
What's the deal with those V6s, stroker kit?

Re: Today’s want
I doubt it, they were only around 250bhp from the original 3.2l
Probably sounds quite nice though!

Re: Today’s want
My 4 door bmw having 70bhp more, being rwd, and worth about 1/3rd as much as a decent 156 gta was why I never bought one. I still like them and the 147 gta though but doubt I’ll ever own either.Rich B wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 6:40 pmwe're spoilt by ///M specific power outputs!integrale_evo wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 6:18 pmI doubt it, they were only around 250bhp from the original 3.2l

Re: Today’s want
Was away on business this week in Europeland. Was picked up from the hotel by a colleague I hadn’t met before in a 1989 Volvo 740 Estate. 215,000 km, scruffy outside, but not a squeak, rattle or clunk. Brakes were silent and pulled it up straight. My favourite part was a 4speed box with overdrive on 4th. He’s owned it since 1998 and works on it himself. I absolutely loved it.
Re: Today’s want
I know
@mik unfortunately for the new owner, about 18 months after I sold it the oil pump failed and the engine seized. He couldn't afford to rebuild the 3.7 so he had to put a 3.2 back in. Kick in the bollocks for the new owner, paying extra for that engine, then paying again for a lower spec.
As for power, mine was RR'd at about 320bhp, so I guess this one is about the same.
Re: Today’s want
New Morgan designed with pininfarina. Outside is lovely. Inside is spoiled by the obvious bmw gear selector- it’s limited to 50 units so will cost a fortune, couldn’t they have done something with it
Re: Today’s want
Can they really not do anything about the gear knob? It looks pathetic - might as well graft some BMW 7 series tail lights on it too for the damage it does to the aesthetic.

Is the steering wheel nabbed from something else too ?
Re: Today’s want
My first thought was Mustang but it's not the same. It must be unusual these days in not having buttons on the spokes.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 7:42 am Is the steering wheel nabbed from something else too ?
The gear selector is far too generic. Surely that part can be altered? There are so many other controllers for the ZF 8-sp box now; evem something like the Audi selector below is at least a bit less obvious (though would need to be different for LHD and RHD markets, so maybe a pain):
