Your fleet running reports

First Vegans, then angry Vegetarians.
All other sensible veggies and general “let them be them” types will prosper in a food surplus and have BBQs and sing songs and harmony will flood the land.

The European population is already starting to decline, and life expectancy in the UK has begun to drop, so we've got a head start on that one.Mito Man wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 11:34 amEasiest way to reduce CO2 emissions is to get rid of the problem. What is the elephant in the room? Overpopulation. How do we solve this problem? Also shorter cable runs, less infrastructure needed etc. damn logic being so logical.
We are incredibly good at farming, we should let the farmers get on with it.

I'm guessing you wouldn't buy it if it didn't need a bit of spannering. So, just a broken one?

Re: Your fleet running reports
As far as I know it’s not broken, just high miles: 135k. But drives beautifully, is one owner from new, and has been serviced on time every year. It also has the correct OEM Pirelli tyres all round with loads of tread. Seems like a car that’s been looked after.
It’s being delivered tomorrow with any luck.

A rare non-privacy-glass one. Nice.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I didn't get a brand new policy, I swapped the existing Smart policy over to this so I don't have an exact figure, I think it's equivalent to about £1200pa. The policy renews in July so I'll do the proper meerkat at that point.
I will do that shortly !

I'm quite looking forward to having a prod around this one, I keep hankering after (admittedly much smaller) 4x4s and soft roaders.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 4:06 pmWell that didn't last longSundayjumper wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 12:43 pm I'm behaving myself at the moment and waiting until both are gone before I buy anything new.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Got Bimmercode/bimmerlink and a suitable OBD thingy so I can now annoy the neighbours and locals by fiddling with my flap.
Also, I think I have told it to stop turning off AC recirc after a few minutes, it's supposed to automatically do it based on air quality, but I've never found that to be reliable.
Must see if there's anything else interesting I can do with it.

Very nice. The tdv8 makes quite a nice noise for a diesel too

If you have HK sounds then there are lots of equilozer settings you can change. I had a brief play with that but ultimately decided to put it back to standard.Beany wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 9:01 am Got Bimmercode/bimmerlink and a suitable OBD thingy so I can now annoy the neighbours and locals by fiddling with my flap.

Infotainment off when opening the door
disable the horn when locked if the engine is running - handy for winter defrost
accoustic lock confirmation enabled
Im sure i made the auto wipers more sensitive as well
Display tyre temperature and pressure if not already set
Re: Your fleet running reports
That last one would be interesting - I know they aren't as accurate as a proper gauge but a bit of a heads up on a slow leak would be nice.
Re: Your fleet running reports
The non privacy glass makes it look so much smaller and more airy. That’s a lovely outside spec.

Thank you That plus a pale interior and Panasonic (sic) roof makes it super-airy. It might end up being a greenhouse come summer though.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Can the facelift nav unit be retrofitted to yours? Would presumably solve the 3G issue (assuming the modem isn't external to the unit), and improving the tech.
