Moto cancelled following the torrential downpours. Shit happens but no refunds apparently as the punters saw the warm-up.

If it’s buy on the gate - you should have checked the forecast. If it’s prebooked, that’s pretty harsh.

As for £35 parking - that’s a whole separate WTF!!

Similar happened at Oliver's mount, they took all our weekend ticket money, cancelled the event, ignoring all emails and calls. Bunch of cunts. Auto66 events will never see my money again that's for sure.

Beyond the controls, I don't think there's much crossover between bikes and quads - I certainly didn't feel like I carried anything over when I started riding bikes.

Sadly very much as above. We had Yamaha Grizzlys and a Kodiak when I was in Cabinda. After a few weeks riding them sporadically I would ride 5km or so down the beach on 2 wheels, either wheelies or on the side. Jump everywhere possible, and climb silly climbs. Huge skids on the road and sand and generally wrestle and act like a wally.

Sadly getting n a bike didn’t produce the lovechild of Rossi and Marquez so no crossover at all

This sounded like total bollocks. I’ve been to Silverstone many times and never paid to park

Anyway, I checked the ticket prices for F1 next year. Sunday tickets. General admission. £140 each!!! And then, Park & Ride (no other parking available) is £30 per car

I haven't been since the 90s, and back then it was a tenner to park in a field about an hour's walk away

You'd think they could afford some better quality tarmac, oh, and maybe not get a load of pikeys and their dags to do the levelling.

I don’t remember the parking costing much (£5/6?) when I went 2 years ago - and we parked a short walk from the circuit.

Just looked at the booking email. I’m talking bollocks, it was £65 for the three days. But it was right next to the circuit.

Madness. I paid £30 to see DTM at Brands and the infield parking is always £5. There is also free parking. Haven’t been to Silverstone since I was a child, did some driving experience stuff a few years ago and the grandstands look like they’re hundreds of metres from the track so don’t think I’ll ever go unless I get free tickets.

Had there been no racing at all, they would have given refunds. But they got the GP boys out first thing before it started to rain, and that apparently is enough to satisfy the T&Cs regarding keeping the punters hard-earned.

Finally got around to servicing the Yamaha, ready for it to be my daily when the summer finally fucks off. Haven't done any tinkering for months, forgot how much I enjoyed it! New oil and filter, changed the shaft oil, new front pads and new coolant.

Tomorrow it's rear pads, plugs, air filter, check the spokes and balance the throttle bodies, then a lube of the pedals and levers and a general tighten and check, and we done.

Just left to now wish like fuck it was October so I can actually use it. Still mid-to-high 40s here, killer.
