Offroad Supercars (a la Hurucan Sterrato / 992 Dakar)
SInce Harry's latest vid is hooning around his farm in a Dakar - did we ever have a vote?
Re: Offroad Supercars (a la Hurucan Sterrato / 992 Dakar)
Frankly i prefer an argument.
Re: Offroad Supercars (a la Hurucan Sterrato / 992 Dakar)
I'm fine with them existing, but they're not something I personally want to own.

I doubt I’ll ever take the Macan off road but a Dakar; fuck yeah.

I mean, surely the bigger win from them is that they actually have wheel travel that's usable on backroads, rather than oFf RoAdInG iN mY sPoRtScAr?

I don’t really like then or see the point, especially as most seem to be pose mobiles with permanently attached accessories.
I get the appeal of something not ground scraping and with a bit more tyre sidewall, but don’t think you need to go extreme off road to ‘cope with’ the odd speed bump and pothole.

It is a bit extreme for that, really, yes.
Quite nice seeing the R5 come on (IIRC) 205/55 R18s and have a bit more sidewall, rather than 235/35 or something to make it look Cool As Fuck in press photos, etc.

Love it, healthy trend towards more fun and adventure.

They look even more shit and out of place than their track special variants trundling around London - and in this country there’s even less opportunity to use them in their special environment unless you enjoy pissing about in a field. In which case you’d have more fun in a buggy.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Offroad Supercars (a la Hurucan Sterrato / 992 Dakar)
I'd have a Dakar in a heartbeat. Perfect for the north of Scotland's b roads, forest tracks etc. Stick a roof rack on and there's loads of options for wild camping, mountain biking etc.
Cheers,
Mike.

I’d bloody love one, a 911 out of preference but would go further with it and have the roof rack, all terrain tyres etc just for fun.
