I saw them on Later a few weeks ago and yeah, I rather liked it. I suspect that was the same show that Skindred were on because I wouldn't typically watch Later these days (he seems too anti-metal).Jimmy Choo wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 2:49 pm As well as Ren, I've been really enjoying The Last Dinner Party.

I can't listen to more than 3-4 tracks before I get bored of the genre, but sometimes it's nice to kick back and simplify things a little.
(Obvs listen to these on the streaming platform of your choice - youtube vids added for demo only).
Rachael & Vilray performed this track on Jools Holland Hootenanny at the start of this year - fabulous harmonies.
And the Rachael (Price) half of that duo (with a little help) performing a version of Every Time We Say Goodbye that should make Mick Hucknall cry. It sounds awesome cranked up....

Sorry to bang on about Ren, but I just discovered the chronology of these three songs and how listening to them (properly, e.g. hearing all the lyrics) hits really hard. The guy really is an incredible storyteller.

Worth listening/watching some of the Big Push covers street performances too - the guy has no end of talent.

Shows how much detail of this thread I actually took in
There were a lot of videos of him doing street performances on TikTok which were amazing, but I’ll look for the big push ones, noted!

Short interlude - this sounds way funkier to me than the original (possibly swayed completely by the fact I'm not a huge fan of Sophie EB's voice.

I have a new found appreciation for this sort of stuff as I attempt and stupendously fail to make something musical using a sampler and various related noise making tools.
