The Meg - watched this last night. Starts off taking itself seriously but eventually settles down. Weak script and acting but enough lolz to entertain. Best character is the little girl mind :)

Now you see me...

Ridiculous. Full of plot holes big enough to swallow the sun. You don’t have to suspend your sense of disbelief, rather you need to sack it for gross misconduct and walk it off site looking sad whilst carrying its belongings in a carrier bag. It’s very slick, fun and enjoyable despite that, and the cast is great.

Watched The Terminator for the first time in ages last night. It was good to be reminded that James Cameron made good films at one point.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout

Not really my thing, but the best yet.

I went large and paid £4.70 extra for the IMAX experience. I'm not sure whether it was the projector or bad editing but there were many very grainy scenes.

Also distracting, faces out of focus and I am almost certain scenes had faces cropped in after second shoots.

Also some very iffy CGI using the same 4/5 cars in the car chase scenes and a Megane with the front end from a Mk2 and the rear from a MK3.

Looks terrible to me, I can't stand that guy from the Inbetweeners (although I don't mind the show)

Everything looks terrible to you. It looks like Blue Juice for the millennials to me so I'm sure it'll be fun.

Only if you didn't like either of The Inbetweeners movies. In which case you're probably Nathan.

the inbetweeners series were excellent, the 1st film was quite good, the second film had a few funny bits.

I expect the downward spiral to continue judging from the trailers and other promo for this.

I hope I’m wrong and the trailer was just put together badly.

Not as good I was expecting. 6/10

Rampage
Quite a lot better than I was expecting. 6/10

The end.

This film annoys me so much

Is the magic they’re doing actual (Harry Potter) magic, or just clever illusions!? Starts off as clever illusions, but then later becomes actual (Harry Potter) magic??

The sequel (staring Harry Potter) is even worse for the same reason, but now you know that they’re doing supernatural magic-magic, so any peril is totally lost

As Rev says, it’s fairly slick and the cast are good, but it’s a total impossible mess

yep, that’s pretty much my take on it too plus woody harrelsons hat.

Haven’t bothered with the second one.
