I thought Ireland might just get it done in those last few phases. Enthralling game to watch though. New Zealand were incredible in defence, made very few mistakes under the most extreme pressure. I do feel like Ireland lost their way for a spell though and forgot their normal game, they were just trying to force things too early in the second half when playing tight and clean would have been fine and got them points. The occasion just got to them a touch I reckon.

Close game though, could have easily gone either way. A bit gutted for Ireland, I'd have been quite happy to see them go all the way.

I wasn't fussed about Ireland winning, but in the last 5-10mins I was willing it to happen, just because that would have been one of the most incredible scores in rugby ever. You could see that it was taking longer and longer to gain ground though the more they went on and they just ran out of steam in the end.

Looking forward to tomorrow night's match between Fra & RSA. Cannot call it at all. I had an accumulator on a Northern Hemisphere clean sweep so that shows just what I know

I haven't been that nervous watching a game since the France vs NZ final some years back. I was still shaking with nerves 40mins after the whistle blew. Absolutely awesome game and a major tap of the hat to Ireland, that could have gone the other way so easily.
