I need to get some of that for the golf - sunroof squeaks a bit when its fully closed. A quick stab on the button to move it a few mm stops it but its a workaround.

A quick wipe with a clear silicone shoe-shine pad (available at all good supermarkets and cobblers) also works (for rubber seals in general - I have never owned a convertible).

Time you spend thinking about, buying, building, modifying, breaking and selling cars: 99.999999999999999999%

Time you spend driving them: 0.0000000000000000001%

And that's being generous!

It has to be - one where the account holder is a car enthusiast and doesn't just drive an old Merc diesel because hypermiles.

Long story.

It did 5 motorsport events in 2017 including 2x races.

2018 has been safe to say a disappointment!

Very true sadly :( All my hobbies are outdoors, and it's 45C and 100% humidity right now. Like being under house arrest.

But this goes all the way back to his S2000 that I can't remember him using

I finally put the Jag up for sale last week -

It's surprising how many views a car gets on Auto Trader versus the number of enquiries. About 250/1 in this instance.

It must be priced correctly as I've had a serious enquiry from Stirling, which is about 440 miles away from me! The first person to view it made me an offer which I've asked him to up by tomorrow afternoon, otherwise the Scot has said he'll take it very close to my asking price.

Be aware that when Auto trader forward a call on to you it sounds like an automated marketing call - I hung up on the first two!

It makes way for something with less than half the engine and horsepower, but importantly the extra seats we now require with a new member in the family.

Been very pleased with the improvement to the car the PSE added when I retrofitted it around 18 months ago... but well, the temptation is always for moaar and louder isn't it :D

Just booked it in at Hayward & Scott in a couple of week's time for the centre silencer delete & replacement with stainless crossover pipes which is very popular with the 997 GTS crowd. Mulled over whether it was worth it to go for the Sharkwerks pipes but with import taxes etc. they're essentially 2x the cost for no tangible benefit, so H&S it is.

Think the last vid I posted with pre-PSE so will need to post a before & after with this new set up - can't wait now :ugeek:

That looked like immense fun while it was running - what went wrong, we need to talk you out of selling it...

Never raced or rallied, just for JL, yes the best fun ever, what maybe isn’t obvious is that I was hitting the hard limiter twice a lap there, and it’s geared to 142mph..
the cars an absolute weapon!

Oh and I was on road tyres in that race, everyone else was on slicks, I couldn’t get th slicks switched on in qualifying, later discovered they were an endurance compound.

888R’s for the win, although near the end they start to go off a bit
