I always thought he was a *lot* of both things suggested

Imagine if there was a UCI unlimited category where groundbreaking ideas could be pitted against each other or someone just made an "old Faithful" in its original tucked arms position but with modern lightweight materials and had someone with modern training and nutrition riding it to compare against his old record.... That for sure would be an hour of great suspense and drama.

I'd bet after that investigation Hope/Cannondale/Orbea/Pinarello/Canyon/Trek etc. are going :geek: :geek: :geek: :geek:
You've reminded me that one of my old pals also would say there should be an unlimited category in sports too. Imagine the 100 metre sprint with everyone drugged up to the eyeballs  they'd probably knock another half a second off the WR.

It's almost got a RedBull-event feel to it, for example organising a track event outside of the UCI where anything goes. I could imagine there are enough Obree-style mechanics and riders out there to make it work.
The un-olympics for all the drug cheats would be blockbuster viewing figures because everyone has likely thought about it at some point in time when watching the supposedly clean olympics - just need some Saudi oil money to get idea off the ground....

The use of any drug goes against the teachings of Islam, so maybe you wouldn’t get money from a Muslim country following sharia law.

Would be interesting to see though, sprinters full of roids. On your marks, get set, ingest enough cocaine to put down a horse, go!

Saw this car at Goodwood but I don’t think it’s ever coming here. I did like the programmable indicators (I think the front ones projected stuff on the road too) and was wondering how long before you could buy some dodgy software from eBay and make it display a middle finger.

Tbh when I heard about it I expected it to be far worse. Nothing that the factory can't fix but I don't think Mat's skills extend to carbon fibre!

There's footage of the crash online - he just seems to lose it travelling in a straight line

'm not sure which is more annoying, having to click on a D.M link or the clueless wifes commentary in the clip!
