It's literally the most well-documented repair of a written-off car that you can findRich B wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:26 pmwhat catastrophic flaw has he built in?Explosive Newt wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:19 pm Is this a car he has re built? I’m not sure I would want something for which there is public record of a catastrophic flaw being built in.
"Got any rebuild pics?"
"No pics, just an entire series of YouTube videos documenting every single part of the repair"
Re: Mat Armtsrong's Raffles
I've only been watching him for a few months but he's had each car he's rebuilt thoroughly inspected by its manufacturers.Explosive Newt wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:19 pm Is this a car he has re built? Took this one to BMW and they identified some other issues - Leaking shock, Missing sensor - He then fixed them all and documented it.Zonda_ wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:20 amI've only been watching him for a few months but he's had each car he's rebuilt thoroughly inspected by its manufacturers.Explosive Newt wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:19 pm Is this a car he has re built? Yes and they put it through a fancy laser jig that could check the finest of tolerances.scotta wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:27 amTook this one to BMW and they identified some other issues - Leaking shock, Missing sensor - He then fixed them all and documented it.Zonda_ wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:20 amI've only been watching him for a few months but he's had each car he's rebuilt thoroughly inspected by its manufacturers.Explosive Newt wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:19 pm Is this a car he has re built? Re: Mat Armtsrong's Raffles
Cars are usually only written off based on the cost of repairs, there are lots of cars around that have had a big smack early in their life and been repaired with no history or proof. If it had had the same accident a few years later when it was worth less it would be recorded as a write off.
At least with his you get a good idea of what the damage was and how it’s been fixed.
