DeskJockey Tour Services (Copenhagen)
Thoroughly pleasant. Highly insightful. Most excellent Value. Would use again.
Public thanks to Alex @DeskJockey for taking time out today to personally show Mrs Mik and I around his (original) home city, ending at a rather funky street-food venue. We were very lucky with the weather too - warm and sunny turning to heavy rain only after we’d returned to our hotel.
It’s invariably a pleasure to put faces to the names of folks on the forum, and this was no exception. Whilst he joked that he could well have made up half the facts he told us, that was clearly bobbins - he was like the Encyclopaedia Copenhagenia
I even got to briefly glimpse the forum’s most famous Galaxy….

You're very welcome, the pleasure was all mine.
It is indeed nice to meet the people you've been talking to for years without ever meeting.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you for lunch!

Gah, my missus went a few months a go, didn't think to ask you for some advice. She enjoyed it anyway.
Re: DeskJockey Tour Services (Copenhagen)
Are you back in Denmark now Alex?
I went to Copenhagen for a work thing last September. It is a very nice clean city and was lucky with the weather too!

Oui, je suis un motard.
Re: DeskJockey Tour Services (Copenhagen)
Copenhagen eh? Alex is a lovely man but he’s only ever met me in Birmingham and Gloucester as far as I can recall. Lucky old Mik.

Just on holiday. Kids are in summer school, so I've got time to amble about and it just so happened to suit Mik and Mrs Mik's schedule.

Mrs DeskJockey poked me in bed in Gloucester.
She was checking if my appendix had gone, though.

This is our last stop Alex. Been up in Gothenburg for 11 days and heading home from here on Sun.
I haven't been keeping up with the forum so missed that you were here until just now.
Not sure I want to go back home to broken Britain after this trip though:(

@Swervin_Mervin for interesting food (apart from what I've already suggested) there's also Kødbyen (literally meat city, the old meat packing area) and where we went yesterday, Reffen.
The former is right by Hovedbanegården (central train station), and the latter out on the far end of the harbour. The 2A bus goes there.

As for bB I've similar feelings. If you're interested in something related to your work, look up Nordhavnstunnellen. Very clever way of managing traffic and having a solution to flooding.

Will do Alex. It's been fascinating seeing all the works in Gothenburg and then Varberg on the way down, with the undergrounding of road and rail services and the upgrades to the West Main Line.
Nice to see countries just cracking on with projects!

Fvcking hell, I never thought I’d see someone go to Sweden and then be upset about coming back here. Yeah the infrastructure there is still excellent but Sweden is turning into a European Mexico at this rate hybridised with Bradford.
How about not having a sig at all?
