Ascender wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 3:13 pm I keep checking back but can't see the answer, so apologies... I take it there's no way to get the finance company involved?

And Arnold Clark don't have anything in stock that you'd like and may get a better deal on in terms of trade-in?

6K.... I know you are probably way past the point where you just want rid though so the money is only a part of the consideration but that sucks balls.
Its BMW finance - i spoke to them before and they said raise an official complaint with BMW which has got us here months later. Ive not spoken to them again since. When i can muster up the energy I'm going to call them.

Another issue is the interest rates have now fucked any finance rates so im now battling that also.
I wonder if BMW Finance are now your best bet, but I know their processes will leave you waiting for a few months?
Cheers,

Mike.

Worth a shot on Facebook groups or bmw forums to see if anyone has a pair in stock you could borrow to test the theory?

I called the sales manager guy I dealt with when i bought it. He's presented an alternative option in the shape of a new 128ti on a 4.5% APR finance offer. Would be slightly more monthlies - maybe £60 - but doable. Brand new 0 miles car with Pro Pack and metallic paint.

That's a fun car and if the finances work so you're not writing off 6K its not a bad option and would let you put this behind you and move on.

Yep and its a nice car. FWD but since I have the Elise This would only be a road car regardless. Pro Pack so HK, Bigger wheels and rear tints. Metallic Colours included.

Dark grey without the red bits an option? Minis are good fun so fwd wouldn’t concern me overly.

Eta: just noted its designation: F40 ! Obviously meant to be! 😁

You can un-spec the red bits but that would then be a factory order.

The red bits are awful; definitely need to be black. Are they a separate bit you can replace ? Paint them ? Wrap them ?

Could probably have them wrapped. Could maybe do a Yellow or a bright Orange or were you thinking more of a neon pink?

Is it now that even if the car was fixed then you are done with it ?

If it’s ruined the experience then I completely understand but I just don’t understand how it can’t be fixed or the issue found.

Still amazes me they threw a brand new set of wheels on it without just trying another set off a car that was driving fine.

People ticking boxes, not investigating properly and trying to fob off the customer

I like the grey, lose the red bits.

My brother had an M135i in that blue, nice colour but a bit ‘extra’ as my mrs would say.

I do like that blue colour...

Those red bits on the other two are a weird and bold styling choice.

Mike.
