You do see a lot of Cayennes and the odd X3 with an 'X5***' plate these days.

Oh I don't know; on a completely different type of car - and with correct spacing - I think they'll look better.

1ED on a Range Rover. Presumably referring to its anti theft device, or the reliability of its engine.

I mean, I'm thinking erectile dysfunction, but that's mostly Range Rover Sport drives.

"POLICE" plate on a black Audi RS6, parked badly (and illegally) in Walsall - I had assumed it was a badly spaced POxxICE plate but you can't have ICE on a plate so no idea.

I do have two number plates that I initially chose as they sort of related to the car - a C5 (Carrera S) and a C6 (very loosely - 6 cyl RR and because it was sequential with C5) whereas I now have a C4 GTS and a V8 RR so neither serve their initial purpose but not obvious to anyone but me... I think C4 and C8 are actually available with the same last 3 letters but I can't really be bothered shelling out £800 just for that reason...

There was a guy somewhere on t'internet that had M3 GUY (IIRC) on his 911 which did just look wrong.

You just look like a modern Citroen fan now

I had BLU520T on my blue 540i Touring; I'd have had BLU540T in preference but BLU520T became available (cheaply, through this forum in its previous guise) so I had it. I wish I'd not sold it now; the chap who bought it from me put on a Z4 I think. I sold it because I replaced the blue 540i Touring with a green 545i Touring and it seemed a bit more tenuous to put it on that.

I prefer car-based plates. I had L88UPO on my old GTI and AMG on my old ...well, AMG.

Always sold them with the car though.

I owned the plate CL10CVP once apon a time (because that one pictured was £1200 and I couldn't afford that). I hoped to flip it for some profit but ended up basically breaking even and having a load of hassle selling it! 😂
