They were a decent size coupe, I’d guess somewhere between a 924 and 928. Cars have grown! Imagine how small my sud or the sprint coupe version look, which are quite a bit smaller than the gtv!

Alfa GTV6 - 4260 x 1664
Mk1 MX5 - 3950 x 1680

The MX5 comparison wasn't far off - almost a foot longer tbf, but narrower (which was how we saw it as we approached)

Yep, cars overall back then were WAY smaller!

I know someone who owned one in his early 20's, and got a 15min "chat" with the boys in blue when they arrived at a roundabout to find him sliding sideways around it.... great cars.

As an old git I remember genuinely small cars like the 1965 Elan I once had. 3.68m long by 1.42m wide. 8-)

I always feel a bit chubby but when I go to the beach suddenly I feel very slender. Similarly I’m sure if you go pull up to a Lotus dealer in your Evora and park up next to a sea of Eletrees you will feel the same way ;)
How about not having a sig at all?

It's always the width difference that gets me, bonkers that those two cars took up the same spot in Alfa's range

When did you last see one of these on the road?

This seems to get used as a daily, as I’m here twice a week at the moment and it’s always moved.

On David Beckham’s / Robbie Williams street.

Great looking cars and had quite a following, my mate imported dozens of them in the early 2000's from Japan and they never stuck around.

Double Coupe ! My dad went to an event at Thruxton and met a couple of other Scimitar owners there.

He uses the car quite a lot, it's certainly getting far more use in his ownership than it would have done here.
