Re: Flightradar24 fans
Odd one today - 5 planes, flying in arrowhead formation, but at what looked like Jet cruising altitude - 30k to 35k feet
Nothing on the usual flight tracking sites…

Re: Flightradar24 fans
Fucking loud plane woke me up at 6.20 this morning. Not on Flightradar, obvs. Turns out it was a pair of USAF B1-Bs: https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/n ... af-8479658
Re: Flightradar24 fans
That's what I meant - I don't actually use Flightradar. Not on there.
Re: Flightradar24 fans
I was walking my dog on the beach at New Romney and noticed that a lot of the light aircraft approaching/departing Lydd were not on ADSB or Flightrader.
Edit - Just remembered that the Spitfires which fly around Kent are also not on radar.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Flightradar24 fans
It might have been mentioned already but ADSB has been sold. A new "ADSB" has already launched, apparently by one of the original creators of the old ADSB. The coverage isn't quite as good yet but should improve.

Re: Flightradar24 fans
As I got home about half an hour ago, I heard what sounded like a private jet from Gloucestershire airport. But when I saw it I realised it was more unusual. Not on ADSBexchange but I managed to get a photo.
I assume RIAT is on today? ETA no, it’s Ragley Hall air show this weekend. I was much closer to there earlier and didn’t see any aircraft flying at all.
Think the plane is a De Havilland Vampire.

Another excellent analysis. Fascinating . Terrifying . Nervous flyers should avoid, or watch right to the very end.

Re: Flightradar24 fans
We had a Saab draken fly over in its way back to Sweden from the midlands air festival on Sunday. Unfortunately too cloudy to see it, the shape of those is amazing- another fighter jet that look like it shouldn’t be able to fly, and wouldn’t look amount of place on an old episode of thunderbirds
Re: Flightradar24 fans
I took a load of a Spitfire/Hurricane fly past on Saturday.
Edit - it’s a Spitfire with an interesting story. P7350 is the only one of its type still airworthy that flew in the Battle of Britain
