Le Mans 23

Post by Zonda_ »

Starts at 3pm UK time, looking like a great race, lots of new cars and manufacturers. Ferraris on pole and 2nd, there even a NASCAR running and it’s bloody quick, got pole in its class! Jenson Button is driving it.

The Nascar is hilarious but I thought the garage 59 thing was really for experimental future tech style stuff and you can’t get much more old school than a Nascar.

I’m wondering if they fudge the BoP just before the race to give the Peugeots a massive gain.

It's already won the "best sounding car at Le Mans" this year though :)

The ride height on that combined with the overhangs must make it wince inducing.

Ffs Eurosport always have the worst commentary team but they’ve topped it by getting the American twat who does Indycar.
And still they force their pit lane interviewers to wear full racing overalls, you’ve got everyone dressed normally and Jethro looking like a right knob 🤣

What a joke, over 30 mins of safety car with half of it because they’re allowing lapped cars to unlap themselves - and that’s after 1 racing lap.

Search Le Mans on twitch, just looked and there’s at least one direct Eurosport feed

WEC removed intermediate tyres and tyre blankets to reduce CO2. There was a notorious wet Spa race which resulted in half the field being binned because of it. So they saved a little bit of CO2 and half the cars on the grid needed extensive repairs. Which is about as expected with all this BS virtue signalling.
Longer tracks are a real problem where they're half wet and half dry and you have no inters.
