Easy way to ship a set of wheels & tyres?

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but for the life of me I can't find it. Is there a hassle-free service for shipping tyres and alloys? To do it properly I'm guessing I need a small pallet or two etc so I'm sure I can pay someone to come and do it for me...

I know some people use Paisley Freight, but there is also a guy in the A2 owners club who is great value for money for these sorts of smaller vanload deliveries - @nuttinnew may have some thoughts on this? What sort of volume / things are you trying to transport? Depending on where you are could be more helpful with the A2oc link in case something works out with his location and / or movements.

You can hire a Hertz van for £14 per hour plus mileage.. they’re usually just parked at Costco/B&Q etc so no hassle

I've also used Paisley Freight a few times. I covered the wheel faces with cardboard and wrapped each wheel in clingfilm type stuff. There was a label for each wheel so they aren't too heavy to move for one driver.

Paisley Freight didn't work for me (despite being relatively local) as anything over a certain wheel size they mandate a pallet - which was £silly.

I went through Shiply for a quote, and got a user called "CarPartsSpecialist" who was excellent. Lots of photos before they carefully wrapped in heavy removals company cloth.

Same, also used Paisley - unless you're shipping monster 20"+ or 4x4 things they're reasonably priced still.
