Wow. Had no idea you were so close! I'd already moved into London when I joined in 2000, but my family home was and my dad still lives in Burgh Heath.

Just literally up the road then.

Here's a thing Nef - we've met, but I don't think you remember.

More than 2 decades ago me and IanS from Scoobynet organised a joint evo/Scoobynet meet where we went up to the Derby Arms at Epsom Downs. You and I met in the car park there and some of us went in and took over a whole corner of the pub, but for some reason you never came in? It was a great evening in the end with Rocket Ronnie telling some cracking stories and others from Scoobynet chiming in.

The evo Oxford Street guy with the P1 came along for a bit (can't remember his name) and all together fun was had. What happened to you though? You disappeared! :D

I remember that meet - I was in the little 106. IIRC there was a small group that broke off - i know went with the bloke who had the E30 M3 (forget his name now - Matt_D?) and a couple of others over Caterham/Warlingham way, because one of the reasons for going was to introduce him to my non-forum friend who worked for BMW.

Ah that was it. Matr_D took me for a ride in his E30 M3 before the pub and I'd forgotten he disappeared about the same time you did.

Wasn't it also Matt_d who had the P1? Maybe he had both for a while

Yup, think he had both. I think he was some sort of stock market guy.

I won a Jorg Gray watch as well, I'd forgotten about that. Think it's still at my dad's house. I don't think I checked my messages and saw it months after winning. Thought I might have missed the boat, but to be fair, EVO sent it to me. Pretty sure it was for a thread on the LaFerrari - Not being a big poster, surprised I won anything. That would have been 2013. I can't remember when I joined the old forum, but must have been in the late 00s. Long time either way.
