The Z3 and S2000 both have incidences of bore wear etc but my poorly worded point was they are coveted cult classics, Boxsters are cheaper than 924's now ! lol

Oof they do seem to be firming up, still some in teens but plenty 20+!Sundayjumper wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:26 pmAre they ? I looked on Autotrader the other day and ignoring all the undesirables (autos, convertibles, and 4WD ones) the cheapest 996 was £15k. That's about 50% up from a few years ago. And more like £20k for something decent. I don't feel like I'd spend £20k on a 996 (Turbo & GT excepted, obvs).Carlos wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:16 pm ...but feel manual well maintained 986/996's are ridiculously cheap...

Gotcha, and ye olde "not a proper Porsche" and "you only got it because you couldn't afford a 911".Carlos wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:31 pmThe Z3 and S2000 both have incidences of bore wear etc but my poorly worded point was they are coveted cult classics, Boxsters are cheaper than 924's now ! lol
Re: Today’s want
The 996 price rise has to be accompanied by a 986 rise, you’d think. Although a lot of 986s were sheddy over a decade ago so perhaps more need to be scrapped first.Carlos wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:57 pmOof they do seem to be firming up, still some in teens but plenty 20+!Sundayjumper wrote: Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:26 pmAre they ? Re: Today’s want
I’ve always been a big fan of Lister LeMans & XJS mkIV (I think) with this power train, but despite the fact that this has too much chrome, and fairly ugly wheels - I suspect it might prove a more useable vehicle. I approve.
Re: Today’s want
That’ll have been Keegan’s then
Re: Today’s want
Possibly John Hall.

I generally know sweet FA about football; it just so happens that it's the brief era and club I know a tiny bit about

That looks rather special. Just needs a dechrome, better exhausts and the rear wing removed.

993 Turbo perfection.

Re: Today’s want
@scotta Cossie is fab. I didn't notice the pumped arches when I initially viewed on the phone.
Re: Today’s want
That 993T is stunning. Are they really a £150k car though?
Re: Today’s want
That's a Turbo S which is a little more pumped and rare. When you look at the 964 versions that is cheap!
ETA note the air intakes on rear wings.

currently £195,500

Re: Today’s want
Saw that 993 on CC, not the right colour but otherwise lovely.
This would've been good if it was manual

Re: Today’s want
They've been £100k for ages, and that's an "S" which is much rarer.
Yes, it's bonkers.
Re: Today’s want
I had it in my head that they were way more than that, maybe north of £200k. I now class that as a bargain
