Ironically, the cheap crappy private plate actually dates it imo. If it was on a standard 06 plate I think it would look 10x classier.

Yeah, I agree, I don't like it. I've already ordered plain replacement plates without the Bentley logo and - for whatever reason - a previous owner has "Straight down the middle" as the text on the bottom of the plateRich B wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 10:22 pm Ironically, the cheap crappy private plate actually dates it imo. The one you won, or is there an earlier one?Sundayjumper wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 9:04 pmDid you find the previous listing too ? It has much better photos.
There are several different cars that have been listed - sold - relisted a few times

If it's the same blue I saw on a clean GTC (blue/blue/beige) in the sun earlier it'll scrub up v. well

Have you ordered any Chrysler badges yet?

More than 98% of what I just paid for it !
Re: Guess the new car - For real this time
At least they changed them all at the same time and it didn't need the engine taking out 3 times

How about not having a sig at all?

@Sundayjumper indeed. That should hopefully bode well for other maintenance. Looking up the MOT records it has been failed on tyres being worn to the cords or run very close to the legal limit, suggesting at least one previous owner wasn't very fastidious with maintenance.

As recently as 2022 it was being taken to a Bentley main dealer for work. This really caught my eye, from the “health check” carried out during the last MOT:
I’d noticed that light not working this evening. Two screws to remove the housing, I had a spare bulb lying around, total cost ten mins & £0. Main dealers eh ?

Yeah. But - it had a fail for one worn tyre in 2016, it's currently wearing a matching set of P-Zeroes all dated 2016. So the owner might have been a bit blissfully oblivious, but they spent money on correct OEM tyres when it was pointed out. If it was on four mismatched ditchfinders I'd be more concerned.DeskJockey wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 11:04 pm @Sundayjumper indeed. That should hopefully bode well for other maintenance. (I am not planning on trying out the vmax on seven year old tyres)

I'd be happy with a totally ordinary reg, but I'm not spending money to do that. I will do some searching.

A sub-£9k Bentley sold by a company called "Kash for Kars"
then resold by someone who struggles to seemingly string a sentence together
who was planning to tow with it
I'm not sure if this is bravery or madness...but I look forward to the updates. £120 to replace a number plate bulb! Good grief.

Re: Guess the new car - For real this time
And who made zero effort with their advert ! But having met them they seemed totally genuine, just not a rocket scientist. And why wouldn't a 550bhp car be able to tow a caravan ? I don't think it would be holding up the traffic on a mild inclineMatty wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 11:46 pm A sub-£9k Bentley sold by a company called "Kash for Kars"then resold by someone who struggles to seemingly string a sentence together

Actually - if I put the current plate on retention (for £80) it should get the original back. That seems like OK value.Rich B wrote: Sat Mar 25, 2023 10:22 pm Ironically, the cheap crappy private plate actually dates it imo. If it was on a standard 06 plate I think it would look 10x classier.
