I think I said I'm leaving the discussion. Maybe your dad was correct. As you were.Jobbo wrote: Fri Mar 17, 2023 7:33 amI didn't as a matter of fact, except for a few years at a prep school (8-11) until my father decided it wasn't a good use of money. I then went to a large urban comprehensive and a grammar in the 6th form. Do you have as wide a personal experience as that? If not, what value do you think you are adding to the discussion?Broccers wrote: Fri Mar 17, 2023 6:46 amYou went to a private school.Jobbo wrote: Thu Mar 16, 2023 9:20 pm
I’m not even sure what you were saying, frankly. You think I went to a comprehensive school or I didn’t?
I'll bow out of my own thread as it's important for the parents here to discuss schooling. Still no pm from Rich.

You didn't leave then. So Broccers.
My father clearly was correct; didn't require paying fees to get me into the university I wanted.

What I find (Yes replying to my own thread again) is business owners and directors more interested in trivia that doesn't really matter.
The government are coming for us all. Is anyone better off from the Budget?

I was quite proud that I've managed to improve my salary considerably in recent years, but every time I get ahead it seems the Tories come after me even harder. Noticed even the VED on the Civic is now £395/yr. For a car that barely does 1k miles p/a. Fking joke.Broccers wrote: Fri Mar 17, 2023 8:34 am

Re: Budget
If you think about this childcare stuff, they've probably gone for headlines but kicked it down the road practically to the next GA in terms of substantial cost. So Labour will get in and have to choose between the big cost burden or appearing to roll back popular policies.

In terms of the budget, it feels to me like a lot of headline grabbing but basically not really putting any more money in the hands of anyone. Which is understandable given the inflation situation in truth.

I see childish answers from adults. No reason to vote Labour.
