6BT Cummins swap surely, I'm sure an engine that weighs a ton with 1000lb/ft of torque would be perfect for it.

Might deserve its own thread this one. Is a 9 Grand 4.4 tdv8 l322 a good buy or potential financial disaster?

I've wanted one for years but haven't the need for a dog wagon currently.

A misfiring 750i. Rubbish photos. I suspect it has black wheels :(

Has already "sold" three times. I'm off to Google what the problem is likely to be...

Hmm. So the N63 engine seems plagued by this problem. Lots and lots of accounts of people throwing plugs, coils, injectors, fuel pumps, even DMEs (which are water-cooled apparently !!) without any firm resolution. BMW NA did a "care package" (a recall) that included replacing the cam chains, guides & tensioners so I guess it's that. Not many will DIY the cam chain so no write ups anywhere.

I'm not sure I want to do another cam chain job. Not unless the car was *dirt* cheap and there's confidence of no other problems like bent valves.

MG SV-R. My memory would have convinced me they had more than 385bhp.

This one has averaged 165miles per year. Well done. <shakes head>

I literally couldn't think of anything I'd have less for £89,950 than that.

And why the hell is it left hand drive!

IIRC the 75 and ZT never had more power as the engine only fitted in with rubbish heads. Maybe the same with that.

I remember them claiming that the SV-R could come with 1000bhp but I don't think they ever built any with that much.

Right OK then that kind of makes sense... no wait it still doesn't. They re-engineered it for RHD so why they'd make any in LHD escapes me. I mean which continental lunatic would want one of those. I feel justified in that comment by the fact it is back up for sale in the UK!

Of all the poor design decisions they made, this combination of tiny wheels and huge arch gap is the worst

Cheap - very cheap - CLS close to home. Kinda tempting at that money.

Didn't they have NOS as a factory option?

They did, but I doubt any were built. I remember having a chat with Rowan Atkinson about his long termer (in about 2006) and he didn't have anything positive to say about it.
A friend has put one to good use though, by using the rear drivetrain and suspension for a one-off 400hp 5.7 V8 Caterham 7 type car -

Didn't the V8 only make 260bhp from the 4.6 due to that?

1 owner, not mad mileage, £2,495? Something is going to be properly up with it, surely? At least go and look. The matte wood on the dash is a wonderful thing; wish they'd been as wild with the mk2.

They've also got a silver one with nicer alloys (IMO) for the same price but it somehow looks shabbier. And another one awaiting photos. And an R-Class, again, same price. I think it might be worth my while visiting if only to have a sit in all of them back-to-back.
