Guess the new car (and choose my alloys)
Re: Guess the new car
Vesuvius grey (lighter grey) 20"s for me. Looks the best 'balance' for the car - never a fan of huge wheels on cars and these are subtle enough to not stand out too much and the right contrast with the paintwork. The last ones just look like you've swapped them since you bought the car. I'd avoid 'polished' and the multispoke 21s will be a nightmare to clean.

Funnily enough those are my least favourite of the bunch !
And cleaning will be done by Mrs Jobbo, so it's a non-issue.
Re: Guess the new car
Turbo style 21" for me, which doesn't look like it will help as everyone has said something different!

I suppose if you're going for a black car, you've got to be ok with regular cleaning anyway.Sundayjumper wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 10:08 amFunnily enough those are my least favourite of the bunch !

That. They fill the arches more convincingly - particularly at the rear - assume they are wider in addition to bigger diameter.
Re: Guess the new car
1 if going for 20s which would be my choice.
4 if 21s.
My mates S without active dampers was quite firm.

Re: Guess the new car
You see, the polished/painted ones (no.1) are the ones which I like least, and the light grey 20"s (no.2) are the ones I like most. And am most relucant to pay for since they're over £900 for exactly the same wheels as come standard in a slightly lighter shade of grey. Fucking annoying. I'm also using the Timculator; paying for the T over the base Macan gives you various options at a much reduced price like the 21"s, so.. undecided.speedingfine wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 10:34 am 1 or 2 please jobbo. 4's are nasty and I will judge you![]()
Here's no.1 for real rather than a render:
No.2 for real:
Standard T alloys (not shown above) for comparison:
Re: Guess the new car
PASM is standard on the T, but was on my list of requirements.

Re: Guess the new car
Bottom ones for me.
Re: Guess the new car
Sounds like the most simple way is to buy the alloy wheel design you like but in the wrong cheaper colour, then when it needs the inevitable refurb just paint them in the colour you do like. £900 will get you many refurbs

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Guess the new car
Finally found an actual picture of the bottom ones:

Definitely easier to clean than the 911 Turbo style wheels. And I rather like them, though think they look possibly a bit more suited to a Cayenne.
Swaying towards the 911 Turbo style currently. And Mito is correct, except that presumably changing the colour of your alloys invalidates your Porsche warranty

Here's a real thing photo of the 911 Turbo style for completeness:

Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Guess the new car
I think it's between the 21s, and I'll get a set of the lighter grey 20"s for winter tyres: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195572246258 (gen2 version, which I think are nicer than the current 20"s on the gen3 Macan anyway).

These, by a long way.Jobbo wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 12:28 pm Here's a real thing photo of the 911 Turbo style for completeness:

No. 4 are the worst.
Re: Guess the new car (and choose my alloys)
Turbo wheels look the best but I wonder how the ride will be

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Guess the new car (and choose my alloys)
The wheels of correctness (RS Spyder) are below - 20" so better ride and the prettiest design... and I expect not available on a MY23
