Although, and I know this is a bit Spinal Tap, but why do they sometimes have multiple bags with the same number on them? Can they not just make those bags the next number in the sequence?

So instead of two number 2 bags.. one of them becomes #3?

You must have noticed that the duplicate numbered bags are opened at the same time because you need bits from each of them to cover that stage of the build. I think it would only work as you suggest if you broke down the stages into pretty small chunks, which would not be very complete in and of themselves. To be fair, I still think putting numbers on the bags is utterly wrong. Give me a bit pile of random bits any day.

That's what I thought, but so far, small bag #1 gets opened at the same time as large bag #1 and all the parts get used. Has been the same for the first few of these actually.

I’m guessing different bags may be from different areas of the factory before coming together in the same box I’d imagine production methods will somehow be the answer

I'm sure there's a very good reason for it, but you know, a good moan makes you feel even with the world.

Work was quiet today so I made the small Adam West Batmobile set this morning while on a very boring technical workshop. It's a really nice little model and is in much better shape than my original Matchbox toy version. I'm still surprised by just how much detail and overall likeness they can get on a simple model like this.

I think the Tumbler has also just arrived. I think that's all the sets I bought when tipsy, but I'm not entirely sure tbh.

Also, shameless self promotion, but we finally released Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga last week. It's No.1 in the physical sales charts (and that's about 1/3 of our sales so far). Rather proud I must admit. Oh, 82k+ concurrent players on Steam at one point too.. huge numbers for a childrens game..

Not fussed about the Solus but the F1 LM looks good.

The F1 is a great example of how they can capture the exact shape and essence of a car with a simple set which isn't able to be detailed due to its size & scale.

Yeah, I think those speed champion sets are better looking than the big technics sets in most cases.

They do - a couple of Technic type pieces with a slot to go over a screw: https://brickset.com/parts/6302094/pane ... -4-85-hole . I only bothered with one screw for each of my Marilyns and they are solid..

They had loads on the shelf in the Metro Centre store a couple of weeks ago. I'd seen that they're out of stock online so nearly bought one. Then I looked at it again and remembered it's a rubbish model and a rubbish film franchise so I put it back.
